Beach Horse Riding
The only Horse Riding Tour in Cape Tribulation, meandering through the Rainforest, exploring the beautiful golden sands of Myall Beach.
Our tour caters mainly for beginner riders, walking horses through the rainforest and along the beach.
After being paired with a suitable horse, you will be introduced to your guides who will give you instructions and lead your tour.
You will have the opportunity to walk your horse into the shallow waters of the ocean (clarity permitting and only at the discretion of the guides), providing great photo opportunities to capture your experience.
The tour duration is 90 minutes and runs twice daily departing at 11:00 and 14:30.
Allow 3 hours drive from Cairns and 2 hours drive from Port Douglas. If you are travelling during busy times (e.g. school holidays), please allow additional time. Note also that delays can be more than an hour at times to cross the river at the ferry.
Emphasis is placed on safety and includes COVID-19 safety precautions. It is mandatory to wear a helmet and closed-in shoes. We supply an approved helmet with your own hair net and a rain jacket (if raining). Saddle bags have water bottle holders and a dry bag for equipment. Please wear long trousers and covered shoes.
Our horses are well treated and maintained and all have a friendly nature (like our tour guides). Guides are equipped with UHF radios and first aid pouches.
